Making Democracy Work
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy.
The League of Women Voters of Montrose County announces its first annual Making Democracy Work Award.
This Award is our opportunity to honor an individual who has been a leader and actively engaged in hands-on work to make our community a strong and vibrant place in which to live. The honoree will be selected from a pool of nominees from the community. Nominations are open for any individual who is or has contributed to our community in a meaningful way.

Former President Bonnie Koch Chosen 2009 Outstanding Leaguer of the Year by LWVCO
Montrose County League of Women Voters was recognized by the U.S. Census Bureau for its service as a Complete Count Committee to educate the citizens of Montrose County and encourage participation in Census 2010
Montrose League President Karen Connor was elected to serve as an at large member of the LWVCO Board of Directors at the 2011 State Convention
